From October 20 to 24, Centro Educativo Salesianos Talca (CEST) celebrated a new edition of English Week, an initiative aimed at motivating students to participate, learn, and demonstrate their command of the language through both in-person and online activities. During the week, games, creativity, and technology came together to make learning a meaningful and enjoyable experience.
Among the featured activities were the “Kahoot Championship,” an online competition that challenged students to answer questions in English quickly and accurately; the “TikTok Challenge: Make English Your Trend,” which invited participants to use the language creatively in short and modern videos; and the wall display “English is my Space,” where students shared texts, artworks, and poems written entirely in English.
Elementary students also enjoyed the “English Playground,” with giant word searches and crosswords, as well as the “Treasure Hunt,” a fun adventure that involved scanning QR codes and solving clues in English.
All these activities were designed to promote participation, creativity, and appreciation for the English language, recognizing that learning it opens doors to knowledge and intercultural understanding.
CEST celebró la Semana del Inglés con actividades dinámicas y participativas
Del 20 al 24 de octubre, el Centro Educativo Salesianos Talca (CEST) vivió una nueva versión de la Semana del Inglés, instancia que buscó motivar a los estudiantes a participar, aprender y demostrar su manejo del idioma, a través de actividades presenciales y remotas, donde el juego, la creatividad y la tecnología se unieron para hacer del aprendizaje una experiencia significativa.
Entre las actividades desarrolladas destacaron el “Kahoot Championship”, competencia online que desafió a los estudiantes a responder preguntas en inglés de manera rápida y precisa; el “TikTok Challenge: Make English Your Trend”, que invitó a usar la lengua de forma creativa en videos breves y modernos; y el diario mural “English is my Space”, donde los participantes compartieron textos, obras artísticas y poemas completamente en inglés.
Asimismo, los estudiantes de Educación Básica disfrutaron del “English Playground”, con juegos de sopa de letras y crucigramas gigantes, y del “Treasure Hunt”, una entretenida búsqueda del tesoro mediante códigos QR y pistas en inglés.
Todas estas actividades tuvieron como eje fomentar la participación, la creatividad y la valoración del idioma inglés, entendiendo que su aprendizaje abre puertas al conocimiento y al encuentro entre culturas.
De esta manera, la Semana del Inglés se consolidó como una experiencia educativa integral, que combina aprendizaje, diversión y trabajo colaborativo, animando a toda la comunidad educativa del CEST a hacer del inglés un lenguaje cotidiano y cercano.
